Become a GET Immersion Experience Affiliate

Syracuse University is proud to extend the GET Immersion Experience to affiliate universities. Students from Boston College, Cornell University, Drew University, University of Delaware, The Ohio State University, Le Moyne College and Rutgers University have applied to the GET Immersion Experience. By joining the Immersion Experience program, you will give your students the unique opportunity to enroll in an eight-month internship with such elite global enterprises as Bloomberg, Cisco, GE, IBM, and JPMorgan Chase & Co., with more companies joining each year.

Credit Partnership Through GET

GET Immersion Experience students can earn as many as 18 credits from their internship, and from virtual and residency courses. The coursework is synchronized with the internship timeline, making it easy for students to stay on schedule for graduation.
The GET Immersion Experience courses are instructed by veteraned Syracuse University iSchool professors and cover a myriad of topics, which relate directly to the situations the students will encounter in their internships.

Immersion Experience: The Compliment to a Liberal Arts Education

The GET Immersion Experience encourages students from all educational backgrounds to put a technical edge on their field of study. Past Immersion Experience participants have come from such programs as Communications and Rhetorical studies, Business, Computer Engineering and Information Science.
The Immersion Experience program demands demonsrated leadership, superior communication skills and excellent critical thinking in order for students to be successful. The GET coursework facilitates the development of specific global enterprise-related technical skills, making it an ideal program for students from all areas of study to extend their technical expertise and gain experience in a global company.
